The natural maternal instincts.
I was so excited when I found out,
As I was told it would never happen,
Although your daddy-to-be had some doubts,
It was for the doctors to try and fathom.
We called you our little miracle,
And when we went to our twelve week scan,
You were just the size of a golfball,
The same size as daddy's palm of his hand.
At our twenty week scan, you were huge,
Everything about you was so perfect,
When you moved, I'd be in a great mood,
But if you didn't, I'd be a wreck.
It's your birth date, we finally met,
Now you have a permanent safety net.
