A man plays with a woman's heart. For The Writers Cramp contest.
“Stop playing with that. Put it back.”
I just don't get it.
“Where did you find that thing, anyway?”
I thought I had hidden it away for good.
“Don't drop it now. Be careful.”
How on earth did he manage...
“Wait, what are you doing?”
to find what I had hidden away so neatly?
“There's a reason it was in storage.”
Doesn't he know how imperfect I am?
“I didn't want to see it again.”
How I cried last time...
“It hurts.”
How could I be so clumsy?
“You're not being careful.”
But maybe this time it's different...
“I'm scared.”
Maybe this time...
“I don't want to be hurt.”
I can tell him...
“I love you.”
