Who'd like a mug of instant fame, with humbleness on toast?
|I was unable to pen a good poem,
and prose was just as unknown.
But, since landing on
this site, writing dot com,
I now have no need to be shown
any sneaky trick of the rhyme.
It's all just a waste of my time.
'Cos I know it all now,
and I can arch a brow
at the rest, who struggle to climb.
You see, if you will be the best
just like me, pass this difficult test.
Then your future is plain,
to be published, to gain
lots of cash and sit up in the crow's nest.
So, mate, if this style you select
in attempts at earning respect,
be assured that you'll fail,
and the sting in the tail...
is you can't beat this here poet, correct?
