A story of a hero
Walkng through a cemetery
Looking at the graves
Thanking all the heroes
For the lives they have saved

In the space where they rest
From a possible bullet through the chest
Tears start running from my eyes
As I place a flag on the grass where the body lies

I stop at one
Where a family has come to pile
To visit someone who has been up there for a while

It was cold in December
But we did it for as long as I can remember
I see the widow put flowers where her husband lies
My great grandma always hated saying goodbyes
