A tongue-in-cheek look at a vegetable garden.
The potatoes said they saw it,
They do have eyes you know.
The corn claimed to hear it,
And described it blow by blow.

The carrots blew their very tops,
When it started to occur.
The asparagus had begun it all,
Just by stalking her.

The carnage was all avoidable,
That poor innocent dope.
If only he had understood,
That melons just can't elope.
