You are romanticism
She sat there on the edge of the dock contemplating her life. I sat down next to her and lit us both cigarettes. One lonesome
tear drop fell off her cheek and into the water. That point was the weakest I've ever seen her. I endeavored to make her smile.

"I was thinking about you the other day."

"And?"

"I was thinking about our time together two years ago, and how we always say
""We weren't really in love, just caught in the moment.""
I was thinking about it and I realized that
despite what we say, I really did
love you.
Wanna know why?"

"Do tell."

"You see what I realized the other day when thinking about our time
is that you, Doll, represent pure
romanticism."

"Really now?"

"Of course I'm not talking about love, because we both know love is not your strong suit.
I'm talking about real romanticism. The kind you find in 18th century literature.
The power to the people,
get back to nature,
emotional,
romanticism."

"Care to explain further?"

"Delighted to. You are a creature of free will. An untameable beast of passion
You have all the sex you desire; You do all the drugs you like
You capture every hedonistic urge your body can muster
You do it all because you have the power to
And you do
not
let anyone stop you.
You are the most romantic person I know.
And do you know what the best part of that is?"

"What?"

"A romance always has a happy ending."
