Seniors who fall prey must calm the need to do so much good - a poem.
How I feel inside
Is really oh so swell –
Never do in pride
Is what I often tell!

Trips from calm desire
Won’t satisfy the pleasure
Of soothing, breathing fire,
But time’s the greatest treasure.

Manufacture grandeur,
Contented satisfaction
From sporting will, not stature
Where competence meets action.

But schemes are duly dealt
A changed and gifted mind
Where losing’s sometimes felt
One’s mettle leads the blind.

Yet nothing hopes to capture
Our faith in God’s rewards
Like vileness from the rapture
Of spite we’re leaning towards.

Too often, we are living
To clean a dirty slate
But there’s some truth in giving
From heaven’s pearly gate!
