Love is the thread from which families are sown. In loving memory of Mrs. Margeret Johnson

Chords That Bind

Some threads are there to fill up the space, though frayed they leave our suits lined.
And some thread, it seems when broken, though unseen, will render a garment untwined.
Now these, be the chords that bind!
Some bricks, when pulled from a buildings foundation, do nothing but alter what's designed.
While others, when broken, can weaken a structure and leave the entire building undermined.
For these be the ones that bind!
And Margaret, our mother, while here did abide,
Was the only living thread that kept us all tied.
She was our buildings foundation and our garments main thread.
She was the glue that held us together, for years, it could be said.
And now that she's gone our garment is severed, our building, it seems overthrown.
But where it did stand others will rise and new garments will there be sewn.
And these being families, we must all be resigned,
To be exactly for them what she was for us:
The thread that kept us all twined.
