What we used to be was happy,
but now talking to you isn't all that exciting.
What we used to be was fun,
but now everything is same old same old.
What we used to be was energetic,
but now we are worn down.
What we used to be was hilarious,
but now we are used to each others jokes.
What we used to be was worth it,
but now we just don't care.
What we used to be was surprising,
but now we use the same things over and over again.
What we used to be was thoughtful,
but now you don't even know when our anniversary is.
What we used to be was in love,
but now all of that has faded and gone away.
