My efforts to speak Russian.
I study Russian each day of the week;
but it is taxing and I’m feeling blue.
Spirit is will yet speaking it bleak.

Once in a library I took a peek
at a new language to broaden my view.
I study Russian each day of the week.

It is a language I thought I could speak;
I’m always up to the challenge of new.
Spirit is willing yet speaking it bleak.

And even though I take pride as a geek,
I’ll admit sometimes I don’t have a clue.
I study Russian each day of the week.

O Leo Tolstoy, to me it’s like Greek!
Peace is at war to have Russian accrue.
Spirit is willing yet speaking it bleak.

If multilingual is something I seek,
maybe a yes, no and thank you will do.
I study Russian each day of the week;
spirit is willing yet speaking it bleak.
