Just a small poem I wrote about sleepiness I sometimes get while at work.
I am doing this so I do not fall asleep,
that painful thing that makes me weep.
I don't know why it happens now of all times.
I just hope I don't run out of rhymes.

Sitting may be the cause or lack of sleep.
No matter, I can't risk counting sheep.
For I am work, and must concentrate now.
I can't fall asleep, can't let my head bow.

I work hard to rest, be well and make myself energetic,
but it seems like to sleepiness, I am magnetic.
I can be as wake as can be before I leave for work,
but halfway into the shift, I lose it like a dork.

My head dangles and bobs not once, not twice, but thrice.
I struggle to stay awake, even when talking to Bryce.
I clench my fists and get up to bring back my concentration.
But as soon as I sit for awhile, it disappears like a revelation.

I am doing this so I do not fall asleep,
that painful thing that makes me weep.
As I end this poem, I give words to you,
Always have the will for your actions, to do.
