A poem about the extremes of missing my Mother.
I miss you with devotion and conviction I cannot explain.
Longing to hear your voice again, could you only speak my name.

I lost unconditional love under the conditions of death.
In another room than you, yet I felt you take your last breath.

The coldness of your skin has never left my hand.
Drifted so quickly through my fingers, like sand.

I stalk your haunting, begging just come to me.
Like a fetus ripped from its womb, I lost my identity.

Like a home with no foundation I have fallen out of place.
I can sometimes see your smile on my daughters face.

No words in any form express what you meant to me.
Your embrace, my haven..Your arms, my sanctity.
