Essay on Perfection
Most people that strive for “perfection” are ironically the very ones who realize that there is no such thing. Part of the creative process of expression, with an ultimate goal in mind; yields an end result that almost never duplicates the original idealized version. However, through the process itself the artist should find a form of creative success and acceptance within the intended medium. This should nonetheless be the most that one could hope for. The exercise leads to the understanding that perfection is an ever changing and never realized ideal which is ultimately no more worthy than another person’s vision, or even your own, at any other given moment.
