a found picture of a lost love
Those L.A. smiles
all the while
creep into
my memory -
It’s a song for you
and a song for me,
now that I’m in L.A.
and you’re so far away.

Today I saw your picture
hiding in a drawer;
secrets revealed in snapshot -
love, lost in a song.
A place we dared call forever
where love gets lost when it’s wrong.

Frozen black and white glossy,
willing to settle the debt;
a fearless intruder,
bound and determined
to take it all back,
if I'll never forget.

Did you remember, today is my birthday?
I think I’ll, send you a card -
our love, always was
the other way around,
now that I’m in L.A.
and you’re so far away.

Those L.A. smiles
all the while,
Those L.A. smiles…
