Thirteen Pumpkins

Thirteen orange pumpkins,
Strewn about the lawn,
Each with little candles
Burning through 'til dawn.           4

Jack-o-lantern smiles,
Gleaming through the night,
Are guiding little goblins
Through spooky, kooky sights.           8

Thirteen little pumpkins
Sitting on the grass
Just beyond the hay bales
Leading up the pass.           12

The Autumn sights are splendid;
The atmosphere is crisp.
And every sunny gourd
In winter will be missed.           16

Thirteen's quite a number,
Its lore is quite bizarre.
But it really does no damage;
The tales are just a scar.           20

Thirteen lovely pumpkins
Are lucky as can be.
All Hallows Eve and folklore
Cannot harm a flea.           24

Enjoy every goblin
And every number, too.
The Autumn air will leave us
when winter strikes anew.           28
