Circus Girl
The Circus is in town, Everyone wants to go
A sole figure in the air, preparing to put on a show
The beautiful circus girl, look at her balance up above
Being alone and in the air, is all she truly loves
The spotlight illuminates her, she flashes a friendly smile
She waves to all then jumps, she flies with grace and style
Ear piercing silence as she begins to swing
An angel is above, watch her spread her wings

A glimpse of the figure, flipping with ease
She's not a Circus freak, when she swings from the trapeze.
A smile on her face, as she soars so high
But a grin can be deceitful, the truth is in her eyes
Paint upon her face, is nothing but a mask
Her eyes are gaping cracks, to a tormenting past
But she is a performer, why should she be sad
Perhaps she is lonely, without a mom, or a dad

Maybe she was abandoned, Maybe she ran away
Maybe she says it's nothing, but maybe her eyes will say
Maybe the pain comes, from a cruel unwanted name
Maybe she doesn't love her gift, maybe it's her source of pain
She flies above the world, the audience holds their breath
A slight miscalculation, and she falls to her death.
All the pain she endured, has made her body weak
They can say hurtful names, but you'll always be my Circus Freak

Live a life of sorrow, death becomes a gift
My perfect little Circus Freak, I hope you know you are missed
