reflections on writing and ability to create.

Used to Be...

Not all that long ago

I seem to recall when,

After a little bit of reflection

Words! They would flow out of me

Taking form easily, breezily, appearing on paper

The choosing and putting, arranging and revising!

Part of me, My CHEE- it would be!

Archived real history

Now it is like reaching deep down in a cellar

Searching forgotten corners, dark musty and mildewed

Words faint and faded, unappreciated

Decided to leave and enrich another

One who will know

HOW to choose them

JUST SO

AHH, yes exactly right

Though I just might

Begin again

Tonight
