Just a quick little poem!
I search so high,
Higher than I can ever fly,
Searching for a pearl in a sea of stars,
Searching for a girl in a sea of scars.

I bought the best telescope,
I thought it would bring her closer,
I caught the best bit of hope,
But in the end, I only lost her.

I'm searching for the moon,
But I can't look up to find it,
It has to turn up soon,
In fact, I'm right behind it.

Although I can see it,
It rises before me,
I dare not impede it,
I want no such glory.

In the end, I must admit,
It was not from lack of reaching,
Still, a moon will never sit,
That is what I'm teaching.
