A Poem about My favorite bible book
The Roman Road

I was Roamin down the Roman roads,
A bedraggled beggar came looking for bread,
I on the other side with embrace of a word,
Instead came Christ risen from the dead

I am no longer ashamed of the gospel,
twas given me in place of my fear,
receiving assurance of salvation,
Thank you God for your offering of care.

I was lost at sea in sin's clutches,
All alone in a ship sinking fast,
All sinned we are crippled on crutches,
God sent in place a love that would last.

Arms and words reach out to embrace me,
God is working all things for the Good,
Renewed passion for redeeming grace,
and purpose in taking on Christ's name.

My walk with God, nothing can sever,
Convicted of lusts dire and drear,
adventuring on other roads nearby,
now bread of eternal life share.
