A second chance
Angel With a Cart

She argued with her parents and felt justified
To run away punish them and make them cry

There she was on a lonely spooky street
Unsure where to go or who she might meet

The hours passed and she became more worried
With no money and only the things she carried

She began hearing sounds she never heard before
Wishing deep inside she was near a friends door

She was only fifteen and alone in a great big city
The only things she felt were desperation and pity

She remembered the fight from so long ago
Filled her with regret she had no where to go

There across the street was a woman all alone
She had a shopping cart and probably no home

The woman came to her with tears in her eyes
This is no place for you why don't you realize

There are people at your home that love you
Silly girl I have a little money to help you

Call your parents and have them come get you
Tell them you are sorry and they will forgive you

Learn from your mistakes and leave this path behind
Cherish those that love you and be forever kind
