The locals call Brighton Bridge hell’s gate. For decades people have mysteriously vanished into the darkness surrounding the bridge, often followed by a death in the community. It happened again on Halloween in 2012.
“Please don’t go, Jason.”
“I’m walking across the bridge, Cheryl. I’ve got to see for myself.”
Cheryl stood by begging as Jason disappeared into the deepening shadows where darkness dwells.
