A deep, meaningful poem about a love affair looked down upon by virtually all of society.
If only we had the power to anticipate the magic...
Whether its effects be of good or bad.
If within our grasp was something not so tragic...
Then perhaps our imprisoned lives wouldn't be so sad.

Held tight inside an iron chamber, just the the two of us,
So alone we may experience our wonders.
So we may hide our love and lust
From all the eyes of many others.

Bound and chained, yet unrestrained,
Our Taboo holding us entwined,
In hopes that we may see light again,
We've stopped to gaze into the rain.

Imprisoned, because of our Taboo.
Incited by myself, yet carried out by you.

Now looking through the iron bars,
A selfish demon gazes.
Once, it stared into the stars,
Yet now we amaze it.

As lewd scents find themselves in air,
We continue with laughter.
For, perhaps if we entertain,
We may be freed thereafter.

In the coming days we have expressed much joy,
For we are free.
Escaped the pain and suffering,
And continued our lives upon the sea.

Yet we are pursued, because of our Taboo.
The night in which I poured all of my love into you.

Yes, a sister,
Borne a twister,
Tangled in her family's lies,
Her life then torn asunder.

Yet she lives now by my side,
Another bustling sailor.
Behind the curtains, we will find
And enrapture ourselves yet again.

To our comrades,
Our true identities are unknown.
Yet one day we do inevitably find
Ourselves not so alone.

Found because we did not destroy all of the few that knew,
Of the infamous and unreasonably hated indestructible Taboo.

Why does this world so much frown
Upon such a familiar love?
Why does it spiral down
Upon sighting the precious dove?

Truthfully, we could not bear
To be sought so much longer.
And so deep within our lair,
A new escape we pondered.

And so one day we made it so we'd be but One forever,
And to the the sight of all witnesses, revealed.
We cast ourselves into the water,
At the moment when our love was sealed.

Eternal, despite the Taboo,
I'm grateful, dearest, that I could always then be joined with you.
