Thanksgiving

Families gather
at this peaceful time,
celebrating Thanksgiving
with turkey and wine.

The dressing is tasty,
cranberry sauce, a delight,
I can easily see myself
eating everything in sight.

A prayer preceding dinner,
giving thanks, saying grace,
remembering the blessings
time and distance can't erase.

Cherishing this time
with family and friends,
