I was watching the leafs fall off the trees and wrote this quick expression of my feelings
Summer is over and leaves are starting to turn.
Only to be raked into piles then carefully burned.
As days are getting shorter with a chill in the air
The pumpkins are picked and sold at the fair.
Fireplaces crackle and dance through the night.
With ice on the ponds and the geese are in flight.
Leafs rustle and echoed with the wind in the trees.
The changing of seasons and a cool night breeze.
As bonfires burn and the smoke fills the night sky.
Seasons are changing with a haunting loon's cry.
