A Poem About the end of life
I watched as the darkness poured out of your soul
All the years of anguish falling to the floor as if it were the crimson red dripping from your barely beating heart
Pain that others felt for just a season
You will endure for a lifetime
You battle your demons day after day with no victory in sight as if you were Satan's whore
Perhaps because you love, hate, and feel everything deeper than anyone could know
Tears stream down your face like a hard cold rain on a dreary autumn day
Crying out for the things you lost or maybe never even had
Failing to realize all the while that everything you have is on loan and is yours for only a short time
It all therefore must return to that from which it came
Your depressing tears roll on in vain longing for things that you may never see again
Your tale now therfore becomes a sad one grasping for things that are not and never were really yours
