A song of hope
I look across the snow cover fields,
I listen to carols echoing in the night,
The wind howling at the cloud veiled moon,
And I wonder if perhaps you are right...

That science has proved God is a myth,
That the time is past for miracles to occur,
That we are doomed to live a hopeless life,
And that faith cannot our passions stir.

I feel the chill penetrating my bones,
I listen for carols echoing in the night,
My knuckles ache in the late December cold,
And I wonder if perhaps you are right...

That science has proved God is a myth,
That the time is past for miracles to occur,
That we are doomed to live a hopeless life,
And that faith cannot our passions stir.

I watch the clouds roll past,
I see a distant star shine bright,
I laugh and feel the pain melt away,
And I know that faith and hope are right...

That science has not proved God is a myth,
That even today miracles still occur,
That with life there is always hope,
And that faith our passions stir.
