This is a poem I made the night before I had a minor surgery. I was scared and this helped
I know you're there, hiding near,
Watching me sleep and dream.
Beside my cradle, silent and kind,
How small and fragile I seem.

Then in a blink, I'm riding my bike
While everyone else is inside.

You stay real close and watch me,
As I try to stay up straight.
By my side the entire time,
Even when it got real late.

Then when I'm older and tall,
And the school year comes around,

They push me around and tease.
When I'm a walking bruise,
You walk beside me broken and beat,
From taking all their abuse.

College starts few years later,
And you stay to see me through.

A damp chill goes through me,
As you walk me to my dorm.
And when it comes you pull me back,
As the car drives on through the storm.

Then later in life, When I have my own,
You watch them as you watched me.

I'll tell them of my hero,
My closest and truest friend.
The Silent Angel who saves my life,
Time and time again.
