Long sought for, recently found

Elusive illusion
sought but never found.
Barricades & barriers
built in isolation.
They have no substance.

Hopes raised
but never fulfilled.
Inward escaping
only directions known.
They lead me nowhere.

Risking exposure
terrifying words.
Comforting restful
the fictional place
made real in your arms.
