He left with no notice.
She has reached the end of the line.

Completely beside herself.

He has vanished from her life.

As she gazed upon him.

Laying there.

His sharp suit.

Manicured nails.

Handsome expressionless face.

"They did good," she thought.

To hide what he'd done.

He looked as perfect.

As a morning sun.

He lay there.

Motionless.

Though she thought he had taken a breath.

"Crazy," she thought.

She touched his hand.

Freezing cold.

Leaned in.

Kissed his thin lips.

Then wept.

He had left her.

Alone.

Young.

Unprepared.

He was just...

Gone.
