Shakespearean Sonnets to Ponder... The Perfect Sonnet Contest
Finding Purpose...

Oh happy days come take away my fears;
And fill me with an afternoon’s delight!
Remove these tarnished days, now braised in tears -
Allow me to regain perspective’s light.
How soon the days of youth fade into nigh;
As time consumes with ever growing greed.
A world awaiting - filled the bluest sky;
With visions of a life - long guaranteed.
But nothing’s definite within this world -
There is no certainty of happiness.
The clattering’s of promises, long hurled -
Are filled with trickery and emptiness.

And so I come to Thee - on hallowed ground...
That I might find my purpose - and rebound.
