My first attempt at poetry. Its just what came into my head.
Stood, dumbstruck
Unsure of the babbling, screeches and laughter
Looking at grey mottled, downtrodden tarmac
then up at the dreary, thick, sky

Flusters of words spin round in my head
Questions desperate for answers, right or wrong
Distant growling of hum drum traffic
Occasional hollering of adult to child

Visions of primary colours, dancing on walls
Memories of singing a familiar tune
Numbers and figures switching around in confusion
I try to make sense of it all

Suddenly, a dry, chapped hand taps my shoulder

'You're it!'
