A poem inspired by an early sunrise
A sharp chill cracks the air, as the sun light cuts through it
The frost glistens like diamonds on car windows
And dew drops shine on the tips of grass blades

Close your eyes for a second and you'd miss it
Such beauty hidden amongst early hours
A conducted symphony by sunrise

The sounds of birds could be flutes
Whilst a cats purr provides a bass line
As he watches the wind instrument with wide eyes

A car joins in with its horn and the song comes to an abrupt end
Silence once more as the sun continues its journey and I continue my day
Until we both rise once more tomorrow
