The Animal People

We are chastised for our innate compassion
attacked for our selflessness
deemed outlandish by our kindness

BUT,  we are truly special

We do not discriminate, all creatures are worthy
acknowledging the divine creation in all
respecting it's significance and protecting life

And so, we are given opportunities to receive

We are misunderstood and not rightfully judged
tainted by shallow perception
perceived alien by our indifference of giving

BUT,  we are truly blessed

We feel deeply
We love greatly
We live strongly
We die peacefully
