A girl who has isolated herself to protect her heart.
The Ice Queen has now come to rise
To rule her kingdom far and wide
She sits atop a frozen throne
Cursed to sit now and ever alone

She rules the land with a stone cold heart
With harsh gray eyes, she looks the part
Her tall icy walls keep others away
But also they keep her there to stay

Her black heart actually used to be
A heart of warm gold majesty
'Til on one lonely winter day
All her dreams were ripped away
Her hopes that once were oh so high
Came crashing down out of the sky

To ensure she'd never be hurt again
She built up tall icy walls of pain
Inside her heart, inside her soul
Her existence became as black as coal

Her friends and family had reason to fear
She would never again let them anywhere near
When she locked herself in the palace of ice
She knew the pain and the sacrifice

She knew that the price of an unbroken heart
Would keep herself and her loved ones apart
"Tis just the price I have to pay
To keep my heart in one" she'd say

Now she rules from her icy throne
To spend now and forever alone
Just in the quest for a mended heart
She tore her own existence apart

The Ice Queen forever more is here
But there is no reason to be in fear
She may be made of ice alas
She feels as though she's made of glass
