Powerless you seem
Truthfully I scream
Wicked is our game
This give and take
And an ability to relate
You hear what is said
You have come to know
All of my terrible ways
No one can save me but you
You are my unwilling deity
The God of what’s right
Within my progressively tragic life
Like it or not that’s your role
Your purpose so clearly defined
I’m jealous of what you have
I wish I could understand
But I fear that I just don’t
And quite frankly
I am sure that I always won’t
No one can save me but you
In that waits every truth
In that waits all that I want
You read my words
Believe every one of the lies
You take the time to care
Spilling out your guts
With each scripted reply
Each one fuels my drive
To be further heard
One tale leads to the next
One idea spawns a million more
One kind word from you is the glue
That holds this world together
We are unlike
In every possible way
Except for one
To me the most important one
We share in the knowledge
That there is always something more
Something that remains to be said
Something that remains to be read
Something left to do
And someone meant to do it
No one can save me but you
I would not want it any other way
Stranger on the other side of this page
From the deepest part of my heart
I would like to say thank you
It’s all that I can really do
I have nothing else to offer
