First attempt at a non rhyming poem.
Is This Not Shame

Their lies are cancerous
Their blood is but poison
Their bodies are the fabrication of a system
Their souls, the remorseless core

The disfigured perceptions of hope
The stagnant pyramid of non sustainability
The onslaught disguised as liberation
Is this not shame that you too shall rot?

Too many desolate minds
Too many scavenging hands
Too many terrorist arms
Too many spineless false prophets

Too much greed
Too much power
Too much control
Too much contradiction
Too much corruption
Too many hand outs
Too many bailouts
Too much hypocrisy

I stand amidst the debris
The rubble of a once great empire
The cold, unsavory ruins
The chamber of war

I stand before you, in this concrete circus
Is this not shame? Is this not shame?
