Just a guy I would like to call Dean.
He has his mother’s heart,

And his father’s eyes.

His laugh is so infectious,

And his smile puts me in the sky.

His favorite color is forest green,

And he loves his sister more than life.

He drives a beat down Ford,

And will more than spoil his future wife.

His dark hair is styled in slight curls,

And he believes in love at first sight.

He may seem rugged and tough,

But he is quite sensitive

And inside you will find a light so bright.

His favorite jeans have a small rip on the side,

And his handwriting is messy without intent.

I could tell you how he got that scar above his left eye,

And how he wrote back to all the letters I had sent.

I know word for word his most-liked song,

And the way he looks when he’s playing guitar.

I could tell you when his birthday is,

And why he liked to look up at the stars.

His jokes are cheesy and absolutely horrid,

But I still laugh each and every time.

He’s nice company on our midnight drives,

And in my pocket

you will find

the change he gave me weeks ago

Two quarters and a dime.

Now he’s eighteen

One year older than I.

We’re still the best of friends,

And I wish I could tell him

How much I love him

Instead of a stupid lie.
