Let me see again just for a moment through the eyes of a child
Sometimes I sit in the park close to the School.
I pray that these who pass me by, can restore
Innocence back to its rightful place of safety
Among those who care enough to seek it's salvation.

I look deep into the innocent eyes of children,
they have yet to learn to hate in the name of a creed.
They do not believe that God is so fickle
as to promote hate fights for his amusement.

These children have captured the essence of being,
They enjoy the lifecycle of bubbles in sunlight
Endless rings of color on the surface of a sphere.
Their smiles radiate the joy of an innocent heart.

And to God I pray,
let me see again,
just for a moment,
through the eyes of a Child.

Give me a link
to the reality of joy,
after all isn't that the real
reason for living?
