And lo to come, breaking spell? My words hath spoken, yet they fell.
Shadows of the World

Of worlds - Shadows blind my soul abrupt,
Reflecting ‘hind, perceive my curse.
Sparkles I sense ‘round what is corrupt,
With what I have lay in the dirt.

Affixed the fanlight rests a key
To harbor me – to refuge me.
Plaiting fabric ‘cross the loom,
I’m oblivious to assured doom.
Anguish from my hold,
I stand against the cold.

And though I try to break my spell
With words unspoken, quiet fell,
Shadows bolt about my mind,
Of the world, my eyes are blind.
Shadows of the world
All the time.

Doth the cracks mean nothing still?
Reaped by visions, with air of naught.
Sewn downcast, trenches of zeal:
What wicked hath my vision brought!
Yet still he gaze at me
I long to be free.

And though I try to break my spell
With words unspoken, quiet fell,
Shadows bolt about my mind
Of the world, my eyes are blind.
Shadows of the world
All the time.

Handsome mask save me not now
As blood abhors the coming tide.
In my wake, the water sows
Blackened trails where shadows died.

And lo to come, breaking spell?
My words hath spoken, yet they fell.
Shadows lurk still in my mind,
But shorter cut my thread of time.
Shadows of the World
Own my life.
