With a spoon
Open up
Suck it in
Ingest this idea
Understand
When understanding
Is what you wish
Least of all
Pay this price
Staggering the cost
The sum
Is just your life
Thy glorious end
Time my friend
Has betrayed you
Once again
Before was minor
This is major
A catastrophe
Of empirical data
It cannot be argued
It cannot be denied
The season is quite right
For someone to be planted
It mine as well be you
Cataclysm raining down
Watering the ground
An allowance for growth
From the bitter end
To something else friend
Will you rise back up
Or will you remain
Burdened by weight
Hiding within the darkness
Of your eternal state
Fate
Such a twisted bitch
She’ll never let on
Only after the fact
Will she yell
Surprise
Will you grow
From your death
Back to life
In a form
And function
Unfamiliar
Will your second chance
Be your very last
Or just another of many
Cataclysm raining down
Saturating all that is around
Thunderous the sound
Wide awake I dream
A witness to the crime
Your agent provocateur
A man capable of explaining
What has become of you
It’s not right
But since when
Has what’s right
Held any weight
The ground is cold
Bitter
Like stone
The earth is heavy
Damn near impossible
Carrying the load
Of our species
Will become your new goal
From your decomposed abode
We, you and I
Can hope that you grow
Maybe something beautiful
Maybe something terrifying
We just won’t know
Until after the seed sown
Breaks the surface of everything
That has been placed down
