When

When I let go of all the anxiety

The complexities of life around me

I can be free and be just me.



When I let go of all the pretenses

And  let down my guard of what I'm not

I can breathe easily and quiet



When I let go of the image of whom I'm not

I can release the illusion of a woman

Who is not afraid of anything



When I let go of everything  in my mind

I can look at a love so long ago

And  be still and observe



When I let go...wait....

That's just it...

I have not let go...at all...of every memory.
