A random stranger passed my path...
I saw a woman the other day,
she had antique white hair
and wore clothing just like
my mother used to wear.
She was shuffling along,
with her walker and then she turned
and I could swear
my Mother had returned.
I went up to her and told her
how she'd given me a smile,
and I smelled her Youth Dew perfume
and talked to her a while.
She said I'd warmed her heart
and asked to give me a hug,
telling me it had been ages,
she said, with a bit of a shrug.
We hugged and I walked away
with a soothing sense of calm
and truly felt as if I'd had
a moment with my mom.
