Sometimes life leaves you broken.
Stranger to Myself.

Anxious and tired,
sleep evades me.
Thoughts of despair,
crippling pain.

Hidden in fear,
who am I really.
Who really cares,
if I hide in shame.

Lost in my idiocy,
manic with paranoia.
Life seems so long,
living with myself.

Crazy is present,
taken my psyche.
Gone is my sanity,
hidden on the shelf.

Light is diminished,
extinguished so far.
Voice is so silent,
I am a broken soul.

Take my darkness,
relinquish my burden.
Pick up my pieces,
please make me whole.
