Missing something.
Feverish.

The day has been a tropical fever,
of heated bodies enclosed tight.
Humid air has me gasping,
lungs and mind give up the fight.

Suffering in this blistering spell,
my skin a burning wet river.
Clouds are absent every day,
no breeze to make me shiver.

Sweltering summer needs to end,
a sultry fire replaced with rain.
Blanketing the sky all fluffy white,
showering to keep me sane.

How I miss the cold windy months,
breathing refreshing cool breath.
Makes my soul awaken with life,
not sizzling in flaming hot death.
