The origin of my handle.
One last coffee at their local Arab coffee shop at their regular table. Today is their last day as ex-pats. It is time to go home. It is time to close a door on a part of their lives that has defined who they were for the past 12 years.

And what an amazing 12 years it has been! So many doors have been opened for them. The people they have meant. The places they have seen. The things they have done. Unbelievable memories they will take with them wherever they go.

Tonight they will get on a plane with a one way ticket heading home. What new doors wait to be open and explored? How exciting and at the same time a bit scary. But they are ready. Ready to open the first new door.
