Stan asks if he can be the Christmas Man

18 lines

The Christmas Man

There is one thing that I would like to be.

The only thing that brings good cheer.

There is no pain, hurt, or foul.

The only thing that exists is smiles and happiness.

I have decided to talk to the Christmas man today,

To find out if he has a replacement for when he retires.

He has been working for such a long while,

It may explain why his hair has no colour.

I want him to know that he can take a rest,

A vacation and know that someone can do his job.

I want to bring the presents to all the world,

To eat the cookies and drink milk all night.

This is a dream job,

I hope the Christmas man will agree.

I can even chuckle and say, "Ho, ho, ho"

Please, Mr Christmas Man,

This is my dream, please say

I can be you.
