A poem about a garden gnome's sad end
The Garden Gnome

He was only a garden gnome,
Trying to cheer passers-by,
He only wanted to bring some fun,
He didn’t deserve to die.

But someone thought he’d show off,
Shouted : “Hey, look what I’ve found!”
And to show his mates how hard he was,
He smashed him on the ground.

They all laughed to see such a mess,
They laughed at the breaking sound,
But maybe they will be sorry soon -
What goes round comes round.
