a tale of a mother

Respectfully Yours

She has the loveliest bosom smile and the largest heart

She has hands full of love and care in her eyes

She shelters a billion fortunate children under her roof

She takes colours galore to sweep us of our feet

She bears the mountain son and all meandering streams

She makes all four seasons believe they should stay

She served a thousand men who robbed her ageless times

Now, the men across the border call her a whore

While I call her my beloved mother
