A short children's story
Long ago,

a man did live

In a mansion by the sea.

His eyes were green,

His hair was white

He lived a life of ease.

Then one day

His eyes turned blue

How strange it was, indeed.

Then his hair

Turned into straw

Or, at least, that's how it seemed.

All at once

His clothes turned blue

Exactly like his eyes.

His house began

To shake and quake

Oh! What a strange surprise!

He asked his house

'What did I do

To cause all this strife?'

The house replied

With one long sigh

'I want blueberry pie!'

Now the man

Was quite confused

With what his house had said.

He asked his house

'What made you think

This would suffice?'

His house felt sad

For what it did

And answered quietly

'I'm just a house

With no brain

Who lives by the sea!'

The man sat down

And told the house

'I'm not mad.Let's eat!'

He made a pie

Which they shared

Living happily by the sea!
