some philosophical questions are raised
Why? Is the question children ask,
Perhaps the most frequently asked of all.
Why the  ...!  Is a common enough expletive.
Hardly worth bothering about.
Why the now? Hardly makes sense at all!

But think!... no now , no me (Tho' some
Say there is no me). For the running now
Is the living me! Hanging in there together
Are the entities that make the living me.
So this me is a composite now of them.

And the thing I fear the most of all?
That these dancers stop their rhythm,
Leaving me alone to dance a solo
In which there is no now, only then,
And the music stopped and so did I.

But wait, fear not! It need not be so!
There is an eternity of nows in Spirit.
All live on in a way we do not understand.
They come and go these entities of mine.
Before me and after me they will remain.
